Meet the Owner| Diana Romero

Diana Romero is the owner and principal coordinator of At Your Side Planning. Diana is the lead designer and planner. Diana graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science while working full time at San Diego State, then acquired her Professional Certificate in Meeting and Event Planning through SDSU’s Professional Development Program in 2004. Diana’s background in planning began in non-profit events for Circle K International, a collegiate community service organization, and a faith-based youth group in which she held leadership roles for over ten years.  Diana also held a vital role in a team-building committee at San Diego State University and fell naturally into assisting friends and family with weddings and events. Diana has also assisted in non-profit community based organizations including SAY San Diego, Rachel’s House as well as fostering kittens from the city’s animal shelters. In non-profit, Diana thrived in helping people and discovered her love and passion to help the community.

Diana established her own event planning company, Ah! Le Party in 2004. She then changed the name to At Your Side Planning in 2012 to better represent the company’s vision. Diana and her team are at your side every step of the way throughout the planning. Diana understands that each event is unique in its own way. Diana and her team develop a friendship with their clients so they truly understand individual personalities and style, incorporating that into every aspect of the planning process. Diana also implements her Interior Design education into the event decor and draws her inspiration from her world travels.

Diana’s goal is to bring your vision to life. She will be there to help you with any question you have. Diana is also happily married since 2012 and a mother to two young children who keep her on her toes! In her free time, loves to work out, dine at plant based restaurants, travel and enjoy the outdoors with her family.


 Meet the Team | Kendra Grant – Planner + Day Of Coordinator

Kendra Grant is a planner and coordinator for At Your Side Planning. She began with At Your Side Planning in 2016. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Communications from San Diego State University and then acquired her Professional Certificate in Meeting and Event Planning through SDSU’s Extended Studies Program.  Kendra has had a strong passion for anything pertaining to art, décor, and crafts for as long as she can remember.  When she realized in college that there was a way to combine all the things she loved in a career as an event planner she knew she would never look back!  Kendra is extremely organized and an avid planner in all aspects of her life.  This, combined with her strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to always stay calm under pressure made her a natural when it came to coordinating events. She gained experience in the industry by interning for multiple San Diego event planning companies, coordinating friends and coworker’s weddings, and working alongside owner, Diana Romero.  Kendra enjoys working all types of events, but what she loves most are weddings!  She takes great pleasure in making sure that everything runs seamlessly and that the bride and groom don’t have to worry about anything other than being in the moment. A romantic at heart, she truly believes that a wedding should be the most important and beautiful day of a person’s life and nothing brings her more joy than being able to be a part of that!


Meet the Team | Shauna Casale – Designer + Day Of Coordinator

While growing up in San Diego, Shauna Casale developed a passion for weddings. Her father owned a wedding ministry and white dove release company for which she held an administrative position. After the retirement of the family business, she moved on as a staff member of a local catering company. Shauna knew Diana Romero, owner of At Your Side Planning from weddings her father officiated. She was originally part of the AYS team from 2013-2016. She has recently returned as a Lead Coordinator. From hands-on and behind the scenes event design to social media creativity, she has built fundamental and expansive knowledge essential to wedding and event coordination. Shauna will always be found giving extra attention to the intricate details. She obtained her wedding and event planning certification through QC Career School and is now enrolled at San Diego Mesa College with a Major in Hospitality Management with an emphasis in Event Management. Her background in events is extensive. Her excellent administrative skills and eye for detail make her a key asset to At Your Side Planning. Her passion and excitement for weddings and events gives her the drive to plan an outstanding day for you!


Meet the Team | Robin Alcoba – Designer + Day Of Coordinator

Robin Alcoba is a Designer and Lead Coordinator for At Your Side Planning. In 2010, Robin began with At Your Side Planning as an intern then moved into the role of assistant coordinator. Robin received her Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Phoenix in Business Management with an Emphasis in Hospitality and Tourism in 2013. She has gained additional planning and events experience when she began her position as Sales Coordinator for Courtyard by Marriott in 2014. She also specialized in weddings and events as the Catering and Banquet Sales Manager for Courtyard by Marriott.

Today, Robin is a Designer and Lead Coordinator for At Your Side Planning! Robin has an eye for detail and is highly organized. She offers our clients more than just planning with her love and passion for weddings and events while working alongside them. Robin’s goal is to bring her client’s dreams to life by creating a memorable day full of fun and free of stress!

Robin is a mother of three boys – a baby and two toddlers who keep her on her toes and has been happily married to her husband since 2015. During her free time you can find her watching “rom coms”, since she is a hopeless romantic, or on FaceTime with her mom or sister while folding mounds of laundry for her family!


Meet the Team | Ricagin Elejorde – Assistant Day Of Coordinator

Ricagin joined At Your Side Planning after graduating from San Diego State University in 2018. She acquired her Bachelors of Science in Marketing with an emphasis in Integrated Marketing Communications. She has a wide range of experience in customer service, public relations and event logistics. After attending many weddings and creating video highlights for fun, Ricagin realized her love for being a part of someone’s special day. This is when she found At Your Side Planning! She began as an intern and now is an assistant day coordinator. Ricagin is detail oriented and with her diverse background, she loves weddings with cultural traditions. She loves being a part of the At Your Side Planning team. Ricagin has been with her boyfriend since the 8th grade and hopes to plan her own wedding in the future! When she’s not in wedding-mode, Ricagin enjoys watching the sunrise, singing Broadway musicals, making arts and crafts, exploring new cities and spending time with her family and friends!
