Coronado + The Abbey. Red + Black Wedding Fun!

The wedding of Michelle and Nick was gorgeous and they were one of our favorite couples for 2011!  The ceremony was held at Centennial Park in Coronado where guests were able to view the spectacular view of downtown San Diego.

The reception was held at The Abbey in San Diego with a color palette of red and black with some great uplighting that was  provided by Excellent Designs as well as the linens.

The wedding was officated by their close friend Justin who might we add, was so helpful during this special day!.  The Grove Bakery created the delicious cake.

Music for the reception was provided by DJ Impakt & DJ Mahjestik who are also cousins of the bride and also work for Z90… yes the reception was definitely a blast!  The bride looked extra gorgeous thanks to  Michelle Mucho who styled the brides hair and Valerie Vonprisk who provided the makeup artistry.

Transportation was Pacific Limousine.  Gobo Lighting was by Music Phreek.  The Photobooth was by one of our favorites – Lovely Photobooth! These incredible  photos were taken by Brian of  ABM Wedding Photography.   Thank you Nick and Michelle for allowing us to be part of your wedding day!

Rancho Bernardo Wedding with succulents, stamps, and more!

Beautiful Wedding at Rancho Bernardo

Caroline and Bart had a gorgeous wedding celebration at the Rancho Bernardo Inn.  Thank you One Love Photography for the amazing photos.  A dessert table, rope, a bird cage and a stamp sign in board were just some of the fabulous items incorporated into this couple’s gorgeous day!  Elements from nature were brought in which included a tiny bird nest, potted favors, a tree on the sign in board and succulents everywhere! The wedding had catholic and Spanish elements within the ceremony which included a mariachi band, flowers presented to Mary and a lazzo.  The reception included a dessert table full of sweets including home made cookies!  The bouquets and boutonnieres were created by Tess of Tessilk Flowers.  The Rancho Bernardo Inn is a beautiful venue and one of our favorites! Thank you Caroline and Bart for allowing us to be part of your wedding!

Love happens at any age!

Love can definitely happen at any age!  My grandmother, Dolores who just celebrated her 80th birthday this month was just married!  She met Alex at her church over 10 years ago.  Dolores, a widow of 14 years lived alone in her modest cottage in Hollister, California.  She kept busy with gardening, cooking, church and volunteering at the local food bank.  Alex, also a widower began to help my grandmother, his good friend around her home a few years ago and that is when love blossomed.  Their friendship grew deeper and they realized how much they cared about one another.  Their wedding ceremony was held at their local church as well as the courthouse.  Dolores wore purple and Alex wore grey.  Close friends were witnesses in the intimate church ceremony which welcome close family and friends.  They plan to have a larger reception celebration later this year and a honeymoon in Hawaii.  They now share a home together in Hollister and enjoy every day with one another!

Orange County Heritage Museum Wedding

Gloria and Renzo’s wedding at the Heritage Museum in Orange County was so memorable!  This site was adorable and the antique elements added such a great touch to the wedding!  We loved the color scheme of lavender and ivory throughout the attire, floral, lighting and even the cake!  Many of the couple’s family members had very special parts in the ceremony and even throughout the reception.     The couple’s pastor, Noe Gueverra officiated the beautiful ceremony.  The bride’s brother had a very exceptional part in the ceremony with a special song he sang as the bride walked down the aisle!  Vendors included Country Garden Caterers, Torrio Photography and Golden Scroll Soloists.
