Reception Layout
There is a new trend happening at wedding receptions! Rather than having your traditional 60” rounds tables, brides are utilizing different shapes. With the help of wedding planners and coordinators, some brides have changed their wedding reception layout altogether. Brides are utilizing square or rectangle tables to give their guests a unique and interesting look. With the square or rectangle tables, brides are hoping to give a more family-dinner style feel to their reception. This is another trend which we’ll cover in another blog (family style)! We recently coordinated a wedding in which different lengths of long tables were set up and it looked so welcoming! Another idea is to mix round and square tables to give your wedding reception a mixed yet fun look. Besides changing the shape of tables, head tables are being replaced with the sweetheart table, no longer consisting of the wedding entourage, but just the bride and groom. Some brides even opt out of a head table or sweetheart table, and decide to sit with their families. The ultimate goal is a more personal set up for the couple to enjoy their closest family and friends rather than a long head table or sweetheart. We are loving this trend!
