Katie and John’s vintage styled wedding was located at the fabulous San Diego Woman’s Club! These two lovebirds’ story started at Tango dancing classes where they shared their passion for tango. Both Katie and John’s family and friends came together to celebrate their big day. The bride arrived in style, stepping out of a 1930s Packard by Hire Old Cars.
The venue transformed with the work of Robbie Allen. The bartender provided chair covers and runners while Classic Party Rentals provided all linens for the tables. Katie added her special touch by creating her own centerpieces and decor. The eloquent centerpieces were created using mercury containers that included an assortment of candles.
Artistic Floral provided the floral pieces, ceremony chuppah and palm trees that inspired the creation of the ballroom. They did a fantastic job!
Dinners by David went above and beyond with their dishes. David, the owner, created a mouth watering selection of vegan cuisine. With David catering all vegan meals Katie and John were able to incorporate their passion for a better environment into their wedding day. The photo booth featured a romantic background illustrated with the moon and stars which was ran by David Zumuya. David is a friend who worked alongside Katie at a non profit a few years back. The photo booth gave the guests the chance to create fun memories to take with them to cherish after Katie and John’s wedding.
The vegan fondant cake from Sweet Cheeks was lovely on top of a vintage rolling cart courtesy of the venue. The cake was creatively designed with a gold flower and teal marbled bottom tier.
The couple got to enjoy their love for tango throughout the entire night. The dance floor was never left empty thanks to the DJ, Allen Walker. We loved all the vintage elements of the day and were honored to be part of such a special occasion.

Christina Horton and Tony Ortiz met when they were only 6 years old! Their family were close friends so they’d see one another during the summer and some holidays. Years went by before Christina realized Tony was “the one” for her! We were so excited when we were chosen as their wedding planners! The wedding of Christina and Tony was a beautiful Out of Africa styled evening. The guests entered to a grand and gorgeous ballroom for the ceremony. It was decorated in fine seating, exotic trees and lush floral in a color palette of orange, burgundy, eggplant and yellow. The bride’s bouquet was lavished with feathers and animal print ribbon. The bride was stunning and glowed in her beautiful dress from The Limited. The ceremony besides teary yet joyful guests included a beautifully adorned broom which the mother of the groom created for the jumping of the broom ceremony. Following the ceremony guests enjoyed a patio cocktail hour lavished with African inspired elements and appetizers. Leopard print elements were incorporated within the pillows, the frames, the food trays, votives and more! The black lounge furniture from Tavola Chasie completed the style. Once the reception began, the guests walked into a transformed room with gorgeous centerpieces, amber lighting and 4 delicious food stations. Authentic Flavors created a customized African influenced cuisine which included vegan and non vegan options. The dessert table included vegan and non vegan cupcakes, vegan tarts, dark chocolate covered strawberries (hanging on manzanita trees) and an assortment of popcorn! Favors were African soaps. Even the children’s table included safari toys and binoculars. Everything for Christina and Tony’s wedding was just breathtaking! Their one of a kind theme and style shined through in every part of the day.

At Your Side Planning (formerly, Ah! Le Party) recently coordinated a beautiful “Dressed Up Picnic” wedding in Julian, CA. The wedding was held at the Pine Hills Lodge right outside of the small town. This venue has cabins, an outdoor ceremony, two options for a reception including a banquet room in a wooden building with it’s own fire place! The area is very peaceful and tranquil. The ceremony for Jesika and Gabe was held on the lawn area and the reception indoors. The area has an abundance of trees and lush greenery for amazing photos! At Your Side Planning (formerly, Ah! Le Party) assembled all the centerpieces from flowers delivered by Wholesale flowers. The loosely arranged pieces fit great with the nature inspired theme! We used large vases, mason jars and thin vases all along the middle of the tables which were all rectangular. All the print (table numbers, escort cards and CD envelopes) were all created by Jesika’s close friend. The cake table was had a tree stump for the cake stand, surrounded by Julian pies and other sweets including vegan sweets! Eco Caters provided the food which was all organic and also provided veggie burgers which were delicious! The indoor area felt like a nice, cozy cabin and it was secluded and private for all these happy family and friends. The wedding was intimate, fun and full of gorgeous natural elements.
