At Your Side Planning (formerly, Ah! Le Party)  has moved their blog to word press and I am very excited to have the full features of blogging. We have been in the middle of a very busy wedding season and have 4 weddings coming up starting in Mid June.  There are so many exciting things we are seeing for weddings!  For our first blog I would like to share on a new wedding reception idea that is so much fun!

One of the newest and creative event activities is having a live cigar roller for your wedding guests.  Your guests will be able to see a cigar roller rolling cigars for their enjoyment.  Cigar Rolling is an art to be appreciated.  It is a fun and unique way to thank your guests and can be considered one of the favors.  It is great for the cocktail hour or a late night event activity.  At the most recent wedding in San Diego that At Your Side Planning (formerly, Ah! Le Party) planned, had a cigar roller come in from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM towards the end of the reception time.  The DJ announced this special activity so none of the interested guests would miss out!  The vendor we contracted was the Cuban Cigar Factory based out of San Diego, CA.  Cuban Cigar Factory is San Diego’s original cigar factory and the largest manufacturer of hand rolled cigars on the West Coast. They provided us with a master cigar roller who rolled cuban cigars.   They import their Cuban seed tobacco from Honduras, Equador, Nicaragua, the Canary Islands, and the Dominican Republic.  They use select, light domestic Conneticut wrapper or a rich, dark Maduro.  They manufacture their own cigars so do not mark up the cigars.  This event activity was a hit and the guests really enjoyed the cigars!  100 cigars were also provided in the cost of booking their services.  It went great with the colonial mexico theme.  I would recommend this activity for any clients who have guests that appreciate the art of cigar rolling.
